Aurea Mota holds a PhD in Sociology, as well as a PhD accredited by ANECA. She also holds a degree in Social Sciences and a Master’s degree in Sociology of Organisations.
She has published books and articles on democracy, political participation and social change in Europe and Latin America. She has also published on her research in the field of climate change and global-comparative sociology.
On a non-academic professional level, he has acted as a social media analyst for Facebook and the impact they have on the domain of public opinion.
